For what it's worth I have a 90 suzuki and I am wrapped with it. My dad has always had Yamaha's but even he is impressed with the Suzi. As discussed in another thread was always going to buy a yammy but the salesman put me off. Come to think of it i think his name was Bushie.

ive had a chryser and that was a heap of rubbish then i bought the yamaha 2 stroke 15 and it has done some work and been faultless i hope the 100 yamaha i have now is as good.

however i went out to flat top with scotty in the sea scam and the suzi he had was powerfull and economical. also a mate has a 140 suzi on a 7m alloy centre console and it pushes that along very well, top speed of 60km and it dosent seem to mater if the boat has 3 or 6 on board.

either would be a good motor to buy.

........................... That's a posative karma to you mate, just for making a good choice in outboards, i'd doubt you will be dissapointed, the only reason why a Yamaha dealer does'nt want you to buy a Suzuki is because once you have owned one nothing else will do, and the 175hp is a great donk ..........
