I had a few people ask me about water in their fuel over the last week or 2 (rain induced I think)..
anyway here are a few hints for those of you who have their boats stored outside.
1. Try and keep your tank 100% full or fully empty.
2. if you have plastic tote tanks store them on an angle so water doesn't sit around the fittings ect.
3. Store your tote tanks inside/under cover if you can.
4. if you think you have a small amount of water in your tank add a cup of metho to it....
5. If you have a larger amount of water in your tank DRAIN it out....use it in the mower.... easier to push the mower than row ya boat
6. store your boat with the jocky wheel wound right down so water doesn't sit in the hull.
If you have had water and shyte in your tote tank then flush them out with metho and let them dry. Don't use degreaser as it can leave a residue in there and send the fuel off.
If you have a under floor tank then get a fuel water seperator fitted.
Fuel injection and water = you parting with lots of $$$$$
Have fun fishing and enjoy the rain
