Yeah thats exactly it..
I go out of my way to avoid doing that stuff these days.. even though I have a pretty capable 4x4 thats got diff breathers, gearbox breather, transfer case breather, snorkel etc etc.. Its just not good, had to go through about .8 of a metre the other day, but no flow and I know the bottom is rock hard and nothing to get hung up on.. still see people charge into water with hot diffs and unprepared vehicle without checking the waterway, then pull them out after they get stuck halfway through COMMON SENSE!!
