Well after deciding to eat one of these things I thought I better dig this post up. I landed a nice one off Dundee on the weekend on squid on a mark Ive caught a few bigguns before and fried it on sunday night with some butter, olive oil and parsley. Now I had my doubts as being from southern parts we wouldnt feed a wrasse to our dog, as he wouldnt eat it anyway... But it was great, a little bit delicate in texture but definitely not mush and plent more will be cooked up I'd say.

Rest of the fishing was quiet, few goldies, associated trickies, cod and blubber lips, a baby mack and a barracuda, but the weather was great and the beer was icy, was a great weekend on the water.

Just got out before the following saga of three tractors and an 8m Haines. They eventually got it out after about an hour and four or five different strategies with everyone waiting patiently out from the ramp, bar one boat of complete wa.kers that kept holding their number up and yelling out to use the other tractor. Obviously couldnt tell that Jethro had a bit on, some people shite me....!

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat all day drinking beer.........
