This is absolutely tragic. I don't know the family, but they are in my thoughts. I can't even begin to imagine the pain they are in.

It's great to see the community here getting involved.

just got back from the funeral/wake and the family are doing well and putting on a brave face. fairly sad affair as you would expect and when young Emma got up and sang Jacks favourite song twinkle twinkle little star, it bought a few tears to a few eyes thats for sure. at the end of the ceromony we released a big lot of ballons which was a really cool way to end it.

we ended up with a fair whack of cash around the $750-800 mark. got a nice big thing of flowers and a card from the "FFF Comunity" also got a heap of DVDs and a teddy bear for young emma(lost all her dvds in the boat and was quite concerned about it). that leaves enough for a plaque that will probably be placed at the Yeppoon Coast Guard boat ramp. Keith said he will get on and post up a bit of a reply once life settles down a little bit. thanks to all who chipped in, the family really does appreciate it

My silent child
our precious baby,
Close to my heart
I'll keep you with me.
An important job
God has for you,
There is love to give,
and work to do.

He needs an angel
strong but small,
To shine light on many
and give love to all.
Before you go
I give you this,
half my heart
and one last kiss.

We'll miss you dearly
that we know,
But by God you were
chosen,
So to heaven, you must go

and memories a lane,
we would walk right up to heaven
and bring you home again.
