Numbulwar/Rose River???

Post by richonurse »

Hi there has anyone fished around Numbulwar/Rose River. I'm working there on a 2 year contract and any info on the area would be much appreciated.

had the opportunity to camp at the rose river a few years ago a t/o and a local ranger got me the permit. got some nice crabs not far from the local boat ramp. also caught some nice barra on the other side trolling hard body lures close to the mangrove roots, water was very cold like 19 c and some big barra were just laying dogo in the mangrove roots like a metre below the surface .would be a very fishy place when the temp is up. didn't get to go out of the harbour but got some local info of a coral reef a few clicks away to the right ,not fished a lot so if you have a boat try it out.so btw what r/u doing for the 2 years cheers john aka westheadgummies. im down south at point leo west entrance to westernport bay.

Well I'm the health clinic manager on a two year contract there. Have my boat arriving in a couple of weeks a 450 side console topender. Keen to do a bit of slow pitch jigging on the shallow reefs around here.
