Lure Testing

Post by Lats »

Just did a trip to test out some prototype colours for Reidy's Lures and dead set there were a few guns in amongst them. In a small bite window they went crazy. Ended up staying connected to these 2 fish. But only after dropping 7 fish, including a real good one. All fish were 80's and 90's

Well done again Lats, looks like you are the Barra King of 2017 with these plus the 120 and 119 all in one day, and the previous lot ...

No banana this time. The one big fish that jumped off would have been over the mark though

Lol hardly. I have kept capture results though and regularly update my fish diary. And it is well in advance of my expectations at the start of the year. Some things have definitely clicked and I've learnt heaps. I have one last trip to end the year in an attempt to upgrade a Seadogs fish

I do get his emails but never done the course. It mainly comes down to increased effort, maintaining an accurate diary (not only my trips), slave to weather predictions and listening to other's who are way better at barra fishing than I. Oh, and only drinking mid strength beers. Last trip I got up at midnight to troll for 3hrs. It was the same tide as the day when I got fish. Plus it coincided with the moon rise. Something I would never had done after drinking full strength beer
