112cm harbour barra

Post by Matt Flynn » Sat Oct 21, 2006 10:21 am

Snow Dennis caught this 112cm barramundi in East Arm on Friday using a Classic 97 lure in green rainbow colours. His superb catch comes as angler's report increasing barramundi activity in the harbour and nearby Shoal Bay as the weather warms. However the afternoon seabreeze was hitting hard about noon each day last week, and early morning barramundi fishing had been more productive than afternoon sessions, Picture courtesy GOT ONE

Not enough smiley options to respond accordingly to this dream, but....
I'll keep chasing the 128 that I know is in the harbour here somewhere! :fishy:

One of the new members keenfisho24 claims to have got a 110 at the Elizabeth but couldn't back it up with the evidence. He hasn't uploaded its pic when I encouraged him to put it in the metre plus club.

Personally I reckon he was full of it.

Got plenty in the 80s and low 90s myself on plastics around the local wharf lights and cullen bays rockwalls and lock area over the years..... I have definitely seen bigger ones than what I've caught in there and lost a few good sized one's around the pylons too.:banghead:

Live squid rigged unwieghted is a good backup option for the fussy ones you can't trick on lures but can clearly see hunting in the lights sometimes.
