Unemployment rate going down in the the US and housing picking up.
I suppose these policies still make Trump a dumb ass.

You mentioned commies.
Im sure that you realise 507 aussies, 58220 yanks, and up to 3.8m Vietnamese died in the Vietnam civil war to prevent the commies from taking over
Fast forward 50 years and the commies are now our (and the yanks) major trading partners.
Now that’s disrespecting the dead IMO
Its not all about the almighty $

The yanks accept that their presidents will lie to them yet they still vote for them
I have nothing but contempt for the yank presidents for the past 80 years.

There is a great TV series on SBS called ‘The Vietnam War’. I grew up with the war on my tv set and believed what we were told. Now the lies they told are being revealed to us. There are audio recordings of Johnston and Nixon saying that we had no chance of winning but they still went on TV the following day saying that it was almost won. The white house were in secret talks with Nth Vietnam and didn’t include Sth Vietnam
A major turn occurred when the Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW) organised a march on the white house. They were a group of returned soldiers who totally disagreed with the US presence in Vietnam. The white house built a wall (sound familiar) to stop them gaining access. The politicians sat up and took notice when the VVAW threw their medals (incl Purple Hearts) over the fence.

Like I said, the poop that they have dished out on various countries throughout the world by invading and destroying their homes and killing innocents will come back and bite them (and us) in a massive way

Well said.

Re Trump and the economy - any improvement will likely be despite him. And at great cost, eg removal of environmental controls.

I heard this today

Trump boasts that he’s ‘like, really smart’ and a ‘very stable genius’ ......

Then he turns and looks out of the bus and licks the window.

I suppose these policies still make Trump a dumb ass.

Yep. They do.

He has been successful in business, knows how to make profits and the economy participants love him. Our stock market hasn't looked back since he was elected in Nov 2016.

Leadership and international diplomacy wise the man is a buffoon. Simple as that.

Now N Korea is cuddling up to S Korea to wedge USA.

Rocket Man is diplomatically playing him for the fool that he is.

Running US diplomacy efforts on a social media outlet aren't the qualities one looks for as the leader of the free world.

Ronje

Firstly it was the Attorney General Jeff Sessions that fired him, not Trump. Same as Comey. Cabe is worth an estimated $11m, not a bad nest egg for a public servant. Cabe acted unlawfully, and lied under oath about the leaking of information to the media.

Comey's wife accepted a $500,000 political donation during the Clinton email investigation, a donation made by Hillary Clinton. If that is not a conflict of interest right there, then I don't know what is.

The only evidence of collusion has thus far been a dossier which was paid for by the Obama presidency with the support of the Hillary campaign. That dossier contained fabricated information compiled by an agent with political ties to Hillary Clinton. Comey, Cabe and Muller knew this and they used this dossier to get a warrant from a federal judge with democratic ties (I think was another funding link back to the Clintons, I don't recall).

Comey and Cabe were responsible for the destruction of evidence from the Clinton investigation. Under their watch the tens of thousand text messages between Page and Strzok went missing. The ones that did turn up didn't paint a very flattering picture of the integrity of the investigation.

The Australian media are running a very biased agenda against Trump, the story on North Korea is virtually buried, never made the front page of abc.net.au and was removed less than 24 hours after it was put up. All of the negative investigation stories remain.

I hope Trump stays in, I hope America is smart enough to re-elect Trump. If Trump needs a "National Insecurity Advisor" soon it will be because the extent of the corruption has run far deeper than the mainstream media has been letting you see.

There have been other sackings and I reckon there will be plenty more. Will be interesting watching it unfold ... regardless of which side one supports, it looks like a circus.

Before you all get too excited about Cambridge Analytica involvement in the 2016 US election, read the linked story.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2012/ ... k-election

Obama created a database in 2012 that mined facebook users data, with or without their express consent to determine how they would vote and use this information to influence them to vote for himself. Do not think for a second that Hillary did not have access to this same database in 2016.

This data mining will be used by all politicians, and business people, a good reason not to use Facebook, or just use it with great care, if that is possible.

Imagine to who they could sell the info. For example, could legal people buy info that shows which Facebookers are copyright pirates or otherwise criminal? Would Facebook sell such info?

Mind-blowing possibilities.

Then there's the Zuck's old text messages ... https://www.socialmedianews.com.au/zuck ... d-im-chat/
