I remember Beachies and Darbys the nightclub in the Don, great places to chat to a young lady and have a dance or two.

Sure that the cartoon character isn't one of Ken Maynard's Ned and his Neddy from Ettamogah?

The dog looks the spitting image of Wal's dog from Murray Ball's Footrot Flats but different colour.

Dont Forget the old Vic Hotel, always a great place. For those who do remember Dolphins there was also the Cage at Beachies. Interesting place but practical when cleaning in the morning with the firehose...

Pity the the old Hotel Darwin isnt there anymore. Used to love the Pickled Parrot Piano bar

Thursday night the Winnelie , 3 strippers two bands.
Friday night Berimah Hotel Strippers and whatever else was going on.
Saturday Vik Hotel.
Sunday Rage in the Cage, Beachfrount,
Every week...
Was paid in cash friday night , Broke sunday night.
No wonder i got Divorced

memorys i guess thats progress ,i can remeber the old don hotel / was the casino back then that was about 35 years ago
