G'day, we went down for the weekend as well. Sat returned 62,63,64,65 & 70 must of lost at least 10 more.
we launched before sunrise and were boat number 21 on the water.

Sunday returned - 59,65,66,68 and lost prob another 10 again. (2 to straightened hooks)
we launched again just before sunrise to be boat number 33 on the water.

most people we spoke to didn't do real well.
very little bait to be found anywhere.

Barra I know, I'm not sure what your secret was to catch fish at the Daly buddy!!! I went down last Thursday and saw great colour coming out of most creeks all the way to alligator head for 1 fished dropped at Powertail creek, the river rose 30cm that day, I new to went down on Sunday morning to find 25 boats already launched, not 1 creek was free on the way down to Alligator head, decided to do a trip upstream, went as far as chilling creek which wasn't running, but hayward creek was, nothing to be seen. The thing I noticed on Sunday was there was much more bait visible. We need some local rain at the Daly to keep those creeks flowing cause they starting to stop flowing.
Any way that's fishing boys.

harder to catch fish on a rising river. Still early days for the Daly personally wont hit it until mid to end of March.
