Corroboree Park Challenge a great weekend

Post by Agent86 »

Got up early Saturday, drove to Corroboree Tavern after packing the esky and loading in the pre-packed boat KAOS.

picked up our registration tags and headed to Hardys for a go, water was pretty low, we had fun with a few tarpon in the first section of pandanus
just managed to scrape over the sand bar past the small rock bar and into the second section of pandanus, had a few flicks there and then went for our first
troll run around the big bend towards the next shallow section.

Halfway round son Alex hooked up to a feisty little Barra, gave a few jumps before we got him in the net
guess what, Red Tag!!!! what a way to start the weekend

Another great comp with the Palmerston Game Fishing Club

a post below with a great video of the fish being caught woo hoo! as well as some pics of other fish we caught during the comp.

The boys fished in another boat with Jordan skippering again and Hayden took out champion Junior for the 3rd year in a row, well done team.

all the money spent on the new tub Sea Eagle, will help with that as well as a family holiday :-)

If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!
