seen this fella late friday arvo on the way back from the mouth (approx 530pm). He was high and dry by about 100m...

We tried to pull up and have an aussie day beer with him but couldn't get within 20m of the bar he was on and wasn't going to wade through the drink to share a beer with him.

Apparently wasnt real impressed back at the pub that night hey????

Hi all, coincidentally was reading a mag yesterday (#38) and happened to notice the same boat pictured during the Barra Nationals last year (not stuck on a sandbar though!).
Cheers,

Ash

oops, yep saturday I meant.

Done ok out the mouth, bout 10-12 fish to 78cm

Fished up on sunday was pretty sad.

Hindsight should have gone back to the mouth sunday but the arvo low was even lower than saturday and there was a few hairy spots on the way back to the ramp.

Hangover on sunday meant going up after a bit of a sleep in was an easier option also

I always carry my camera gear on the boat in a waterproof case (Its a 300 mm lens)
Most of my really good shots are taken using that lens. its still too short for most occasions re wildlife.
Because of my skills as an angler, i often just take time out to do some good landscapes and wildlife shots.

The boat was too far away to even see names etc.
It wasnt til he called me on the 2way that i knew it was the same person who told everyone at the pub that he knows the sth better than anyone. :D
