Not saying he was in the wrong, but you could hear that Merc coming a fair way back, I wouldn't have had that last cast. I would have been thinking about the big boat coming down on me.

Yep, I would have assumed a boat full of drunks was on the way and moved.

At least the boat skipper had the goodwill to run off the road, so to speak, and not run him over.

I'm going to be the devils advocate here... It shouldn't matter if the bloke was in a Kayak, a tinny or even a bigger boat. The way he was hooting down the river he would have had to either do the same thing or hit the other person. Safety on the water is everyone's responsibility, not just the people in the smaller boats. Really it should be a case of expect the unexpected and play it safe. Imagine if there was a member of your family in the kayak with you... IMO the driver of the boat is an inconsiderate and negligent FN clown!
