Hi
Hi Ronj great report mate.
I'm having net trouble and will pm you when i've got it figured out if that's ok?
Johnny is flat out booked solid daily for 6 weeks straight at Awoonga mate so i'm not sure how much net time he is going to get.....
There were 3 different stories floating around about the 142cm barra so nobody is really sure about it. It's good to hear your neck of the woods is still producing big fish even though it gets netted fairly hard from what i hear. Any results re big fish from the netters?
I hear the fishing has picked up at Awoonga in the last week. Apart from that it's been a fairly hard 4 months or so. Harro was also getting a few clients on to fish this week. Trev who is a local has also caught a few fish lately, but there are still a few casts between fish even for guys that fish 300+ days a year.
Thanks again for the update mate.
Cheers Lyndon.

Hello Shane
Did u work with him at Barra Jack's?
He's busy putting together his friday eveing fishing report for local WIN TV news.
I've got plenty of pixs.
Perhaps a site for big threadfin would be useful. I've got a pix of a 1.8 metre threadfin my brother and I found floating in the Fitzroy. Victim of a netter. Fishing lines don't usually leave ligature marks around the neck.
That was a big kingie. Don't know what it weighed but sure was heavy manhandling it over the side of the boat for pix. I'll dig it out and post it whenI find it.
regards
Ronj

Threadfin
Hello
Took a while to find the pix. That's probably why it grew in the meantime.
It was 1.5 metres not 1.8. the esky lid is 1.2m not 1.5m like I understood (re-measured it tonight) making the king 1.5 m.
It had been dead about 12 hours we think when we found it.
To make up for the shrinkage here's another Fitzroy metre barra.
The lure in its gob is a gold "Extracta" Richo. The lure on the spare rod is a pink Richo "Extracta" by local lure maker Ken Richardson.
Looks like I'll have some photos of the 1.45 and 1.54 m barras of Lee's in a day or 2.
regards

Hi fellas.
I promised a photo of the big barra I was talking about.
You'll find it posted on the " Horse Club " site along with the story of its capture.
