Talisman Sabre - Fog Bay defence exercise this weekend

Talk about bungled boat ramps, net buybacks, marine no-go zones, mining disasters etc here.

The sand is to be replaced? I'd bet after the tide has come through a couple of times you would not be able to detect the location it was removed from.

Not too worried about the sand, just hope they can retain their fuel and cargo when actually under fire ...

fuel spills in sand are easy to rectify. there was a massive fuel spill in nth nsw and the soil was just scraped off and spread out nearby. they then added a special bacteria to it and in 3 mths there was no trace of fuel whatsoever. who would have thought that there are fuel eating bacteria that is non harmful to us?
I bet these boys will just dump it somewhere!

Yeah I was more worried about the fuel spill than the replacement of the sand.

The yanks make a lot of mess and cause a lot of collateral damage. I remember during the Iraq war at one point they announced proudly how they had only lost X number of planes but none of them were shot down by the enemy!
