Photos for Crocwise Campaign

Talk about bungled boat ramps, net buybacks, marine no-go zones, mining disasters etc here.

Photos for Crocwise Campaign

Post by tristan.sloan »

AFANT is currently working with NT Parks to develop a Crocwise campaign targeted to recreational fishermen. We are looking for photos from recreational fishermen of crocodiles stalking, lunging, bumping boats/people or attacking fish.

Do you have any photos that we could use?
Photos can be e-mailed to [email protected]

It's an amazing capture. It looks like the little creek just down from the island at the top of Sandpan. We were fishing in that area last year and had seen one large croc cruising up and down out in the middle. At one point we heard a bit of a commotion and turned to see he had claimed himself a decent sized barra which he was trying to swallow.

Came across this footage from the Daly. Probably difficult to get a good still frame from but worth a watch. The boys relocated quite rapidly into the cockpit of the Skeetz! :croc:

I think you would find that barra to be 70cm or more. Remember depth of field in the shot. The croc is big, the net is close to the camera and the fish is the furtherest thing away. It woudn't be a bad fish I don't think. Oh, and we cant all hook 127cm barra either!
