Repairing esky...

Post by balou »

Busted the hinges on my trusty plastic esky on the weekend. Any advice on what adhesive to use to fix it or where to take it to get some professional help.

Thanks

I don't see any reason why you can't just put a couple of Tek Screws straight through the hinge, into the Lid.Maybe some liquid nails as well, and it will be stronger than new.

If you really want it to look like new, take it to somebody that can weld plastic.
Or if you are handy, I would try using a soldering iron. Should work
The best way, would be the Tek Screws. Use Counter sunk ones, and they will look OK

Thanks mate, thought about screws but the plastic is really thin as the I have replaced the latch bit a couple time now. The liquid nails not a bad idea.
