The procedure to add boat ramps, hotspots and hazards etc to the World Fishing Map and then link them to a post here or elsewhere on the internet is simple ...

1. Register at www.WorldFishingMap.com
2. Click on 'View Map' to see the map
3. Click 'Add Elements' to add a map marker
4. Zoom in, place your marker on the map and fill in the form fields.
(If you want to add a picture to your map marker you will need to download it somewhere on the web first and then copy the photo's URL address and paste it into the World Fishing Map marker form. Also, if you have an existing forum topic on the hotspot in question you can cut and paste the forum URL address to the map marker as well). :mrgreen:
5. Submit the form - the World Fishing Map will install the marker and then take you back to the main map screen.
6. Zoom into your new marker and check it is where it is supposed to be. Then click on 'Details' in the popup box that appears when you hover your mouse pointer over the marker, and then click 'Show on Map'.
7. Once the 'Show on Map' function has taken you to the zoomed in picture of your hotspot you copy the URL address and paste it into a forum or anywhere on the internet that you want. When people click on this address they will go straight to your marker.

It sounds long-winded but it's easy, especially after the first two or three. I have just done about 100 of them and I can now do it blindfolded!
