The missing 2016 NT wet.

Post by ronje »

We found it!

Its got lost and turned up in CQ.

Been raining since Thursday night with falls up to 335mm across the Fitzroy catchment but mostly in the 100 - 150mm range. Rocky's got 250 mm so far.

Dawson, Comet, Nogoa, McKenzie, Isaacs, Connors, Dee, Don make up the Fitzroy. They've all had lots of rain.

Rocky gets real flood trouble when all the feeder river peaks hit at the same time. Like 1918 and 1991.

Don't think it will happen this time as Connors/Isaacs only take a couple of days whereas up stream Dawson/Nogoa can take up to 2-3 weeks.

Sure is unseasonal though but predicted by BOM.

So there'll be a really good downstream river flush that run for 2-3 weeks.

Just what the system needed.

Roads cut everywhere so winter nomad schedules will be out the window. Some are gonna be stuck in places for a while as its still raining.
