Re: A 42m wave?
Years ago I made my first trip on the old Spirit of Tassie with a mate. The seas were right up and those days you could still go outside in any sea.
Anyway, my mate and I ended up playing cards with a couple of other blokes at a low set table sitting opposite each other. One wave hit us and the knocked the bloke off balance and out of his seat. He tumbled forward and did a sort of roll across the card table and ended up arse up in his mates lap sitting opposite
I also remember they had to turn around the small spirit from Sydney due to damaged front windows from high seas.

Re: A 42m wave?
Recent studies of wave heights on rigs show that these freak waves are not a myth but 42m seems a bit of an exaggeration I'd like to see the footage
Tight lines 'n' keep the shiny side up people.
