Yep looks even bigger than Cyclone Monica that narrowly missed Darwin some years back....gonna be a bad time for Q/landers if it hits... A system this big will most likely produce huge flooding all the way into the southern NT and Nth SA area if/when it passes through Qld.

Yes but dont hold your breath. The season is still young and the wet season has seemed to come back later and later in the year the last couple. I also think that a lot of the near by cyclones to darwin in past years have been a little later in the year.
Its funny (so to speak not laugh out loud) that I was saying to my uncle the other day who lives in townsvill that they were one of the few places in Queensland to have avoided a disaster of some sort for the year. Looks like I can eat those words if that thing hits. I just hope that the bl..dy insurance companies all come to the party this time. Its a disgrace that they take peoples money and say that they will insure people then find little clauses and bullshiit to get out of paying up when the time comes. I feel sorry for the poor buggers that have already been burnt buy insurers and those that didnt have any form of protection.
I dont know what Queensland has done wrong to cop these disasters. Maybe Steve Irwin has arranged with mother nature up there in the big blue yonder to get some form of pay back for the minning companies trying to get into cape york and North Queensland.

Interesting, the US Navy has revised their plot closer to Cairns, it will be interesting to see who is right, BOM or Uncle Sam, not a lot in it though, sometimes their predictions are quite different.

Either way they both predict a nasty result for the Queensland East coach. The whirly whirly is nearly big enough to wipe both places out at the same time.
