Hear! Hear!
Standing in silent reverence as the Last Post fills the dawn air will bring a tear to the eye of the toughest of men. Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.
If you haven't been to one make this your first, you'll be back.

Mine are too new and dont get worn enough to tarnish. Small amount of metal polish would work, but dont get any on the ribbon as it probably wont come out

Jeff,
Dont use metal polish mate, if they are old medals it will most likely damage them, as youll not exactly know what metals or plating it is...
Stuff like brasso and ally polish etc are way too harsh...
I use baking soda and a soft toothbrush to clean my medals and on some of my older family medals ive used toothpaste and a soft brush...
On the older medals, if they dont clean up with a soft brush and toothpaste then your better off leaving them as they are.... Medals with patina are how they should be....

Re: ANZAC Day
Gday Guys,
That truckie is spot on the money.
I will be taking my 3 boys, twins aged 6 and their older brother 8 to their 2nd Dawn service this year, they cant wait and neither can i.
Think the Darwin service for us, it would have to be the most northern service in Australia?.
Have a great day tomorrow folks.
