Before going online, does anyone have a transducer for a Humminbird 898c

Have a compact si only, not the HDSI, still works but will not do the 800 khz frequency.

Does it do side imagine and structure? New to humminbird. If so how much?

ADRNLN, Makos will do side imaging at 455khz. Its the one that would have come with it from factory on the 899si. Yours would have been the HDSI that also did 800.

I attached a pic that shows the difference in clarity between the two. The 800 is more prone to interference over the farther distances than 455 but the 800 gives a better picture in close.

Makos will work fine with your sounder, it just wont do 800 so worst case is you need to change the frequency in the settings to make SI work.

EDIT: It'll only do side/down imaging if the head unit supports it. Humminbird did 3 models of 898 - 898 colour, 898 colour and DI, 898 colour with DI and SI.
