Okuma Nova
The Nova represents innovation and value – stylishly designed. This reel is the second model developed by Okuma that utilizes the blade body design with protective bridging for added strength and durability. On top of this unique design, the Nova incorporates 5 anti rust ball bearings; a quick set anti-reverse bearing; Okuma’s RES II Rotor Equalising System; machined aluminium spool machined aluminium soft touch handle, smooth multi disc drag and a lightweight graphite body.
Available in sizes 20, 30, 40, 60 & 80.

hunting for a new eggbeater,cost won't be the main clincher but will probably help with the decision in the end,so Matt, do you have any idea on damage to hip pocket nerve????

Looks like they are affordable reels. The lifetime warranty is interesting given the low cost of the reels.

Thanks for that Matt, yes for the money a lifetime warranty does make it rather apealing.. I'm thinking of something like this on a Lightish 7ft spin rod for chucking really light soft plastics around thought I'd try a bit of finnese fishing!

Might want to PM Justin, and ask him if a drag upgrade on them is worthwhile, and if so, how much. I don't know what the drags are like out of the box on these reels - if you are fishing really light a good drag helps.

I just thumb it these days if I need more drag haha, but in all seriousness yeah its defintely handy having a good drag when using light gear!
