I don't get it. It was my impression that indigenous Australians could fish aand hunt where ever they want and were held to the same restrictions as us non indigenous Australians. So what did hey win, seems that they can stop others accessing the area

The way I read it is they do not have to conform to regulation eg bag limits

As far as I knew they don’t have to anyway.

I read a story about it a few months back. As I understand, it's about protecting the resource by allowing a group of individuals to ignore seasonal closures and bag limits.
