There was a 4 corner show about the real damage by the farms. It was highlighted by the other main salmon farmer down there. They showed the farms already caused damage but that they wanted to start up a few more in really vulnerable locations against recommendations

I sort of went off farmed salmon when they showed the fish food with heavy chemicals used to colour the flesh
