The don dale 4 corners show was biased IMO and the videos were some years old. Since then, many things have changed there.
But the CLP (like all political parties) have lied about most things

The Don Dale 4 corners show was about The Don Dale detention center....not the CLP.
Having said that, Mr Giles initially expressed shock and horror the day after airing and promptly sacked Mr Elferink form the corrections portfolio. Later when it was revealed Mr Giles had previously seen footage of the alleged 'riot' involving tear gas Mr Giles began to attack the media.
A bit like a child denying responsibility for a poor decision in my opinion......Its somebody else's fault!
Mr Giles is his own worst enemy. He would have been much better off putting up his hand and admitting there are problems with the children's detention center that need working through rather than shooting the messenger.
His actions in doing so are entirely consistent with his chequered political history!
