Hit the water at 7pm, several boat on the water already.
Water temp nice 30C, slight breeze. On the water for 4 hours.
1/2 moon high in the sky, mozzies minimal.
Road paved to the right hand bend, even has white lines marks, fancy hey!
Took Slinky's advice from last month and went for the soft plastics.
"Buzinga", they work. I grabbed one that has been sitting in the tackle box for several years, trebbles on the bottom and hook on top, green in colour about 5 in long.
You know the ones, they give you a packet of them if you buy a cap!
Hooked up in the first 5 minutes, but lost it, was a barra as it jumped several times.
6 barra hook ups for the night for me, with only 4 fish boated.
My deckie was using his favourite hard bodies for 1/2 the night with no success, so changed to soft plastic, it was about 3 inches long. 2 barra hook ups and several tarpon. The tarpon liked the smaller lure.
Little to no boofing going on, all fish caught on the trawl.
Again thanks Slinky.
Night fishing Corroboree, Friday.
