The gas is already sold before the project even starts,Inpex is Japanese, so most of the gas will go back to japan, they pay the aussie govt royaltie $$s , same goes for Woodside & Connoco phillips.

I recall (and I might be wrong) that Inpex is required to provide 25% of the Channel Island demand gas demand. In the scheme of things, it is probably a pooftenth of what is mined.
