Well , after lots of effort I have finally cracked the EP code. Lots of trial and error and believing they just had to be in the waterway I am located on, has led me to achieve consistent results over the last 2 weeks. Have had about 6 good sessions with up to a dozen catch and release per session. Small plastics slow worked across the bottom are the goods, however they wise up quick so a lure change every so often gets them going again. Not barra I know but it is fun on the light gear and a pleasant walk around the mangroves and foreshore.
No pics as yet coz I am a slacker eh. Got my first gummy shark also yesterday. Actually getting to fish most days as the missus has a new job that sees her home after 6:30 at night with Sat work as well...........

Good work on the EP's chanos. Where are you based,Cerebus? If so I can't think of any major creeks there to get the EP's. My mate used to get a few on the other side in the Lang Lang...
I've only ever targeted them at Warnambool in the Hopkins. Was one of my favourites to chase when growing up and at uni down there

Hi there Jonesy, yes I am at Cerberus and the base has it,s own rather large waterway that is hardly fished Hanns Inlet. Has everything on offer but just have to put the effort in. So far it,s working on the EP,s and have dropped one definite mulloway. They are my next objective. I actually live on the base so its a 5 minute walk down to the water or 2 min ute drive to the base ramp and fishing for reds 5 mins later. Getting so much fishing done that the missus reckons the boat is hooked up to the fourby more than not.
I see you are doing well also on the fishing front....... where are you located?

I'm out in the eastern suburbs at Knox atm. Moving to the seaford/frankston area next year when my new place is built which can't come quick enough. Can only bludge off the parents for so long! That and the fact I'll only be few minutes from the bay instead of 40
Keep trying on the Mulloway. They get some crackers out of WPB,couple of 60lb fish on the last full moon.
