Caught up with Chanos the other day and was lucky to be able to show him just how good this place can get.

I've been wanting to put him onto some decent fish, especially after the mid summer lull which had him dreaming of his previous life. Only just down the road is a nice beach launching spot with no crowds, just one other trailer.

We did a drift for a PB whiting @470mm then onto the hot spot. At one stage we had fish on all rods although its hard to piece it all together once the mayhem starts. I know he was getting the smaller snapper (pinkies) his side of the boat. I was onto the whiting my side and a good flathead came up the rear.

A great session with Chanos saying " how good is this", his coffee going cold and no chance to roll a ciggie.

Just wish he'd left those shorts where they belong and it ain't down south.
