Just got these pictures sent to me from my sisters work mate.... This is what he said about the trip.

Some shots of recent trip to Port Hinchinbrook and only 35 nm each way to the reef for 4 days.

Total cost was about $300 per kilo, just means a little less for the boys inheritance.

The deck winches with over 1m per revolution and 150 lb line give no chance to the fish even the sharks come up easy

Looks like a fun few days... I might have to catch up with him next trip home to QLD :mrgreen:

is that a red bass in the top foto or a jack?

i was under the impression you couldnt eat them? can you? :-?

I know people who eat them...not that I would :grin:

haha yeah that's the first thing I noticed... def looks like a red bass to me.

Great sport fish definately not for keeping though.
