Finally got the boat in the water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :clap:

Put the boat in at Yeppoon, headed out wide with a mate from down here, water was a bit rough, got out to some new points and dropped some baits, fishing was slow until we picked up some fresh bait from the bottom, then :mrgreen:

first fish up was a Red Emp approx 13kg :fu:

then mate pulls up 2 jobfish about 4 - 5kg each :wink:

while i'm still catching baitfish!! :fishing:

Then full on, another RED, my turn, went 12.1kg. All went quiet after that, sharks moved in, water went choppy, :captain:

front moving in so headed back in. All in all good trip, pb biggest red caught and seen :grin:

Gotta love Yeppoon, pretty place and was very busy with new real estate developments when I was there, I can see why now ... 10kg+ reds :rofl:

we went out 60nm north east of yeppoon :captain:

was well worth the trip :chef2:

weather has been terrible in yeppon/rocky region for awhile,.... cant wait for some good weather..... what other places do you go around yeppoon

just started geeting out now so plenty of places to look. one of the mates from rocky gave me some marks to check out . :captain:

looking at some crabing in the next week or two. if the mrs holds out for a bit .new bub due around the 20th jan

dont worry cb ill be up there on the 1st for 10days so look out.... we will have to go out

yeah had pots in for 3days just before xmas in cooramin creek but there was bout 50 pots with a couple hundred metre radius so we pulled ours out. only got 3 good ones. hopefully gettin out more next year in the reef
