easter camping/fishing in CQ : Townsville-to-Maryborough Bluewater

Headed over to Curtice Island off the coast of CQ with the family for an Easter camping trip. The weather over was awesome but soon kicked up to 20knots for most of the weekend :sailing:

. Fished some ground around Hummocky island for a mixed bag of reefies and a few small macks but most of our fishing was from the shore. Been a while since I have been whiting fishing but we soon had em coming in hand over fist and the kids loved it. :catch:

The crabbing was good with fresh crabs hitting the fire almost every day. We had the whole area to ourselves for the 5 days, pretty good considering we were only 20kms from the mainland. :mrgreen:
