Forum lay out

Post by 2rods »

Might be just me but I am finding that the forum is getting a bit cluttered looking

Matt... I recon the dams and impoundment threads should be at the bottom of the list..... same with the inter state threads........ just to keep the FFF with a NT feel what do you think???

An someone had the idea of the who's on line box being at the top.... sounds like a ripper idea to me.

Sorry Matt but I'm with 2Rods on this one...

I know the first thing I do when I come online is to check who else is on. This means scolling to
the bottom (which seems to be getting further each time) then going back up the page to view
all unread posts. Not having a whinge and I know its not a big deal, but thought i'd add to this
comment anyways. Maybe all of the dam links can be listed under one heading then seperated
from there to keep the main page clear? There does seem to be a lot of stuff to be squeezed
into one page.

Just an idea...

Cheers

hmm not wishing to hurt you creative feelings Matt but the calander and info box above it has created more clutter to pass by to get to the good stuff whilst i agree with the concept just don't think that they are sited in the right spot, anyhow your site cherrised by us all.

changes

Post by Matt Flynn »

Ok, I'm onto it.

Calendar will be reduced to just the date strip, which is collapsible via the arrow on the right.

I will see if I can move the Who's Online to the top.

The dams section will stay put for now, I might move this section a bit later - I have got a bit of planning to do before I can make that decision.

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated

Hey Matt,

What about changing the Calendar to 'FFF Monthly Calendar' and make it a bit bigger so new people don't miss it?

Matt can you make the scroller for the latest posts go backwards on mouseover. If it scrolls forward as it does when you mouse over it goes backwards it would be handy to be able to see all the latest posts instead of having to wait for it to come around again.

Any chance of getting the Barra Bar to pop up in a new window?
