Kimberley Rugby League comes to Darwin : Sporting Arena

A bit of football history to be made this Saturday in Darwin. At 4.30PM the Kimberley’s first representative Rugby League team the East Kimberley Eagles will run on to the field at Warren Park to line up against the Darwin Brothers.

League has been played in Kununurra for two years now and the boys are keen as mustard to have a crack at a team from the big city.

If you’re around on that afternoon come down and have a watch, we won’t have much of a cheer squad on tap :drinking1:

Got back on Sunday night but took a day or two to surface, a road trip to end them all.

As foir the game we had a good win 52 to 18. The game was played in the best of spirits and the host club - South Darwin Brothers put on a BBQ for us and our opponents on the day at the end of it all.

Was a great weekend all round and we're looking forward to our next game up there.

Well done mate with a 1am stopover in Barking Dog Town (Katherine),
then up early for brekkie at FatDonalds,
up to Darwin to play League on a hot day,
cold beverages for rehydration that night,
back to WA next day,
and only losing one player,
a pretty good effort all round LOL.

haha yeah we heard he was in the lock up in Mitchell St so went to pick him up on the Sunday morning but no luck, he came back by SkyWest after fronting the beak on Monday for assulting a copper's boot with his head :bonk:
