I now a lot of you guys on this sight follow the top end weather closely. Im sick of all these rumors and gossip about the monsoons , and have no idea about it my self . So have we seen the last of our descent rainfall for the season, or can sum one tell me there's a good chance of sum more. Or do you guys even think we need a lot more?

I read the weather geek forums over at weatherzone a bit and always keep a look out at the NT threads. All weather now is forecast from computer models, the meteoroligist just interprets all the models as far as I know.
I don't understand the different models and jibberish they talk in,but apparently one model is indicating another event next week, whilst another model indicates nothing...so make of that what you will.
also found this....
"After another week of thunderstorms and rain it looks as though the Top End of the Northern Territory will see another short dry spell, according to weatherzone.com.au.
Darwin has picked up about 65 millimetres over the past seven days, which is fairly typical at this time of the year. However, this is still well below the March average; the average monthly total is 320mm, but only 101mm has been received so far.
If Darwin stays below 121mm this could be the driest March in 22 years. And it's very similar for other areas across the Top End, including the Roper-McArthur and Victoria River districts.
So far this month the McArthur River site has recorded just 5.4mm, drier than the previous record low by six millimetres. As a result, it may end up being the driest March in at least 37 years of records.
At this stage it does look as though more soaking rains are on their way for this part of the country, most likely increasing from early next week."
