Shady Camp boat ramp for 2wd : Weather, Road Conditions & River Levels

Having never been to Shady, is a 2wd hilux ute able to tow the boat there and launch on the saltwater side?

Any advice appreciated.

you can ,just be carefull dont back in too far you will get bogged in the mud

was down there last thursady and friday in dads 2WD lux 3L diesel,
no worries backing the 435 savage just stick a little downstream of the ramp where its gravel...good luck man

We were there last week, should be no troubles, there were a couple of 2 wd there and they had no trouble.

Just watch your turning circle. There is a soft bit sort of off to the left in your turn. You can see it easy where everyone has chopped it up.

Thanks guys might give it a go then even though the tides arent ideal.

Hopefully all the crowds are gone with the Daly rd opening and the Klash being on.

Wishful thinking, I reckon there will still be a hundred boats there. The bigger tides make trolling the mouth pointless though....so that cuts out half of the shady fisherman...
