planning a trip to Salt Water Arm on Sunday 7th Nov. :catch:

after any road conditon reports for the road. :mrgreen:

did anyone head out that way over the weekend? :captain:

would really appreciated some info :drinking1:

There is a big washout about half way out?? both the far left and right sides were ok, but the middle was cr.p would definitely snap something hitting it at speed.

the wash out is there .. there is 2 actually now .. its on a bend .. left side on the way in is the best side.

other then that the road isnt too bad. not sure on the turn off though.

that road is never good it's best road is still like shady camps worst.

road is terrible up until the leeders turn off.

there is 2 major wash outs and the road has been chewed up by the "locals" using it for there own personal joy.

towing a boat it will take a while so unless its graded its only gonna get worse over the weekend.

Got a few fish, queenies and trevs off the beach, also managed to get a blue salmon on the incoming and dropped a barra of around 65cm at the beach

So yeah its a go slow road at the moment, if at all

Well took the chance on the road being graded :rofl:

Best part of the road is the turnaround at the top of the ramp :bonk:

Putting it bluntly it is a pox mess. Claimed one of my mates wheels when the calippers came loose and punched a hole thru his rim and I lost one bearing buddy. :bonk:

Can't understand how the contarctors can be let to get away with re-sheeting some sections with material that turns to snot when it gets wet :bs:

Fishing was good so helped wipe the bad memories away (will post later)

It's called cutting corners, sometimes costs

they probably get the surfacing material from the quarry near the entry to Howards Springs Hunting reserve..all swamp land :mrgreen:

I found out the name of the person responsible for the road and ive left several messages with him. of course no reply yet but if we give him a hammering, it will get fixed or he will pass it on to someone who will fix it

make sure that you advise him of the damage caused to your vehicle while using the road and they have to rectify it

Still no reply.
i called them again today and advised of the problems at Gunn Pt rd.
they said that unless they are made aware of a problem, then they were unlikely to do anything about it.
