Finatic2 Looks like a good time was had by all really, they are good pics.
Sometimes things just turn to mud and this time it was the road. Same thing happened a couple of years ago on the Shady rd, Didnt stop anyone wanting to go out there. People just went bush to get around the bog.. maybe men when men then cause no one whinged someone else had damaged the road and we shouldnt be using it..

Bit like last week, people were complaining the ramp at the Daly was locked. They only locked it to stop people going there, so the road wouldnt be damamged. Everyone seems to want it both ways.

Do you have a winch rope or was that another rope that broke? Once the 4b is that deep the suction is pretty hard to break with a winch, so its usually a spade job anyway.

Careful what you complain about fellas or it might end up something like the Kakadu tracks - opened late, closed early, with a big impact on fishing.

In this instance they should have closed the road for a week or two. Record rain. I guess they can't do everything when a cyclone hits.

Great post though, should keep the traffic right down. Perhaps they will close the road for a few days :mrgreen:

We whinge about the nanny state thing because people can't be expected to use common sense about things. If you rip up a boggy road, it will take longer & $$ to fix it.

In Vic, if you go on a closed track and tear it up, YOU foot the bill to fix it.

i was told today that a grader/loader made that sink hole a few days before and water just filled the hole and turned it to soup
there was still a few cars heading down gunn point rd today and a few boat trailers also dunno how far they got should go down with the cruiser and charge a tow fee:)
