Fogg Bay & Hardcastle Road report 4-3-09 : Weather, Road Conditions & River Levels

Did a drive out to the Finniss after work and this is what I found.

Fogg Bay road is very bumpy but is passable. Take it slow as there is alot of pot holes and washouts. Road is nice and hard though. All the Creek crossings are down and only have a small amount of water over them.

Hardcastle road has 1.4m of water in the little creek just before the boat ramp. :cry:

Yeah i flew over Fog Bay today and the whole southern end look's like it's freshwater........Daly mouth was very dirty,the whole area wide of the river mouth look's like iced coffee.

Thanks for the update rug, heading to crab claw this morning. Not sure how much fishing will get done as its a family trip and my daughters are young and only have a short attention span. But will throw up a post when i get back

Anyone check Hardcastle Road access to the freshwater finniss last weekend?

Can someone post the water depth at the dip for me?

A mate went down there on Sunday, water was at 800 but he said the river was still running pretty high and hard.

Wanting to get the misses out on the new boat and thats her favourite river so I've at least got half a chance at winning her over with the purchase.
