Does anyone have much experience on when, in their opinion this road may open, I realise they have had a massive amount of rain this year and the road only usually opens at the very end of the wet.
I'm mainly wondering about the Easter period. I've rang parks they have no idea and tried to call La Belle Homestead without luck.

Mate I highly doubt that the road will be open until after june/july... possibly even August/September the ammount of water out that way has been phenomenal. And that's assuming that it stops raining pretty much now.

The only way to get ther is to fly.It will be a couple of months before it opens. You will need the key and they will not release it till the road is tip top. Unless you know one of the owners there you have very little hope. Part of the agreement with labelle station is for the government to look after road.

Well. That is very dissapointing We were due to head there on the 28 April, but the postings seem to be saying that we best make other plans. BUGGER!!!!!! The wost thing is.... there is not a thing I can do about it. I would think that I will hit the Lynne river for that week instead. Who knows, this may have happened for a reason and we will have the most awesome fishing trip ever. It still sux though.

Dazza you should go to dundee instead. Awseome fishing there and not far from perons if the weather is good. finnis will be firing and there should be some good blue water options still.

Yeah we don't know what we are gonna do yet. We have alternative dates for the second week in May, but as I write this I see you guys are getting smashed with rain up there again. It does not look good. The missus has seized the day and has made plans to renovate the bathroom if we don't go (cunning and quick girl). Another option is to hit the Lynne river for a few days. That place can seriously go off on those sort of tides. Thanks for the tip though Lincoln, we will play it by ear for a bit and see what happens.

I just had some people knocking on my door to pull them out as they were bogged on the Channel Point Road, they spent all night in there car, and sarted walking at first light, landed on my door step at 10:30am. Went and pulled them out in the cruiser, very stuffed the road, and I have been no where near the last 20km which is low lying and will be under water for some time.
