Did you season the frames or salt or sugar rub them first? Or just straight into the weber and let the smoke do the job?

Put them in a salt/sugar brine for an hour or so. It's my first attempt at them, so once I get the basics right I'll start experimenting with flab ours.

Just took all the meat off the frames of two Barra. Shows how much flesh goes to waste when we just whack off the fillets.

Will give it a go next time
I've got a dedicated smoker that I use on mackerel
The odd Goldie frame might work well too
When I grow up I can't wait to be a grown up...........
