North Gutter Macks

Post by Jer »

G'day,

I jumped aboard a mate's boat earlier in the month to go chasing pelagics around North Gutter. We didn't finding any tuna but did eventually come across schools of mackies smashing bait on the surface.

We got a feed to take home and proceeded to catch and release an easy 20 to 30 macks. All were around the school size and were good fun on the lighter gear but too easy on the heavy tackle. We need to find the bigger ones next time!

No decent photos, only crappy camera phone stuff. We were too busy catching fish! But I did have the GoPro's on and got some footage and have finally put it together. Video can be seen at the link below but I did make it a little too long, sorry about that!

Edit: Video should now be working correctly.

good fishing, great vid

If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!
