Jiggy Jig

Post by Lats »

Well I finally got to test out my assist hooks on hard pulling fish and they came up trumps 8) Double and triple hook ups on one mark.

Sharks were a problem

Julie in her game chair after something decided to head to Indonesia. It was eventually sharked. Pity as it was very big. Using tuna baits

All my fish were using Reidy's metal jigs with my assist hooks. The white feather was a clear favourite

As was the red and white

We also got grey macks but no photos
For those who haven't seen the assist hooks, here they are again. Some made with single strand wire and some with cord

I know that the fish aren't record breaking in the photos but very happy with the assist hooks. Confident that they can stand up to some serious fish

Good to see home grown gear being put to the test

Beware the Bali Jiggy Jigs, you might get caught out with a substitute.

To be honest, I couldn't tell the difference. Probably because on the wire ones they were fully covered with red heat shrink. But the white feather was a clear favourite
