Tiwi Trip
Well I finally got a chance to go fishing and this time the wife was able to come as well. A break in the weather meant that we could get into the Tiwi's again. Trip over was a little bumpy but still managed 25+ kts.
1st night was a bit tough in fishing terms as the fish were not in the same areas as on previous trips. But we did manage 2 goldies and 2 Jewfish
Julie got a new PB at 70cm And mine went 59cm Man, the next day was tough. Well until we found the fish. Sharks were a bl..dy menace. But I managed to snag another great maori sea perch We changed tactics and moved. Things were looking a bit grim. It was mid afternoon and a new drop we got a couple of quick goldies and then it was sharks central. I suggested a move about 100-200m and try again. And this is what we got The rest of our bag limit in minutes. Ranging from 55cm to 68cm. But mostly in the 60's. The best thing was once we got our bag, I was still on the bottom and hooked up. Turned out to be a big tricky that was bitten in half. So the sharks had found us again. Julie also managed a Jewfish in all the madness Later that night we finished up with a few more Jewfish

Great stuff mate, especially being able to share the trip with the wife!
Bit strange though; used to seeing you with some solid Threadies at this time of year...

Re: Tiwi Trip
Good looking fish there. Where did the sea perch come up from? I've caught them up on top of Melville in the past, but never west. (or south)
