Darwin Goldie

Post by feeds »

Launched at Dinah Beach, 3am, plan was to head to Bass Reef.
The whole trip out it looked there was a storm hanging right over it and was confirmed as I rounded Charles Point.

Change of plan. Hit Charles Point wide. Sounded around but couldn't find much so headed out wider.
Found some good soundings and started jigging.

Right on sunrise got a nice 70cm goldie on an octajig. Try as I did I couldn't get another one.

Weather was bl..dy perfect out there. Sat on 50km/hr the whole way back to finish off a nice little trip.

Yeah I marked it Lats, was the first thing I did when I hooked up.

Could see more down there but couldn't get a strike out of them.

Had to bail to make sure I could get the boat out of the water before she got too low.

Nice Goldie well done, pity the others didn't play the game
If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!
