might be a few small flatties about down towards the mouth, but i'd be more inclined to drift livies along the north wall near the bar for a jewie. There should be plenty of tailor near the bar, there's a good chance of some stonker bream drifting lightly weighted flesh baits close to either the north or south wallson the last hour of the runout tide.the bream season is just starting now. good luck mate ,hope this helps

you are pretty late in the season for good flatty fishing barrajames, but if it is a sunny day, get on the flats where the water has warmed up. You will get real big flatties sitting in only 2 feet of water on the edges of weedbeds...

Try a live bait under the bridge and up along the rockwalls near the caravan park on the left as you work upstream. There's some nice jacks to be caught along the walls. Maybe a little cold now for the flatties but if there around the livies should spark some interest.
The Tweed is a great river to fish with a good variety of fish. I have only fished it during the summer months and flatties and whiting are there for the taking...........hopefully someone will add a few more spots to try in the cooler weather.

Cheers for the info guys . Hope to turn something up, if nothing else will get to explore another waterway. Am guessing that I'll have to pick up a NSW fishing licence.
will post a report hopefully with a pic or two.

Cheers seafarer, am currently in Toowoomba and finish up here on the 1st june then my times my own. Should be on the Goldy that weekend and the chance to get offshore fishing is extremely tempting. Will get in contact and hope for great weather. Cheers mate. Mitch
