1770 fishing trip : Qld

after seeing the forecast of 5knt winds and 0.4m seas for the waters of central qld on sunday arvo,I spoke with seafarer and it was agreed we would both be far to ill to go to work on tuesday.So at 2pm on monday all preparations and the usual safety checks were carried out and we picked up my bro jason and we were off :clap:

We arrived at the ramp at around 10.30 slept in the boat at the ramp and woke at 3.30 and headed out.There was absolutely no bar to speak of,so in no time at all we were 35klm offshore.On the first drop jason got smoked by an unstoppable and seafarer landed a spangled emporer of around 3kg :mrgreen:

what a start!we landed about 6 more and moved to another spot about 70klm offshore and straight away we were into more nice fish with coral trout,parrotfish,red throat emporer,2 nice cobia of around 6-8kg and a host of other species all hitting the deck,not to mention the near endless supply of red emporer(which all seemed to be 0.5cm undersize :banghead:

)all in all it was an awesome day on the water in picture perfect conditions :fishing:

in great company.We didn't get too many piccies because we were too busy fishing,but here's a couple :cheers:

my youngest bro is down your way at agnes waters working for ergon. told him to take me surfboard down but he said it had been glass :bonk:

just cant win??? want to go surfing and its glass???? want to go fishing and its blowing its arrse off :bonk:
